Formwork is basically a temporary or permanent mold used to shape the concrete structure. In order to produce a good concrete structure the formwork has to be a solid foundation for the concrete. The formwork is designed to withstand the concrete load and also external load caused by human and the plant structure itself. It is essential in ensuring that the formwork is designed to be well-fitted and zero faulty. Leaky and faulty formwork can destroy the appearance of the concrete product. The leaky joint can also lead to honeycombing and joint marks on the surface of the concrete.

Scaffolds are temporary structures utilized as platforms to support and elevate workers during construction, maintenance or repair work. This is to enable workers to reach heights that have difficult access. It is utilized for various purposes for example, exterior structure painting, temporary walkway or bridge and others. This scaffold consists of boards, tubes and couplers made from materials such as metal, wood, plastic or bamboo. Whether it is a simple or a complex design, the scaffolds are designed under great planning, supervision and care. The structure has to be durable and safe as it supports groups of workers moving about. The scaffold ensures safety by providing handrails or being a supportive structure for a building.
